LANTERN NIGHT EVENT: “FORGING BONDS OF FILIAL PIETY”
On the evening of August 25, 2025 (the 3rd day of the 7th lunar month, Year of the Snake), amid a serene, gentle, and solemn atmosphere at the Diệu Tướng Am Spiritual Culture & Art Space, the Lantern Night “Forging Bonds of Filial Piety” was successfully held, graced by the solemn presence of Venerable monastics, distinguished guests, and a great number of devoted Buddhists.
LIGHTING A LAMP – CONNECTING A BOND
As each late summer draws to a close, when the light of gratitude from Vu Lan season gently settles, the reunion lanterns of the Mid-Autumn Festival begin to glow. Though each carries its own message, both of these great festivals within the flow of Vietnamese culture bind generations together through the sacred light of family bonds, gratitude, and household harmony.

In the spirit of joy that fills the season of filial piety, on August 15, 2026, Diệu Tướng Am Hà Nội officially opened the program “Lighting the Lamp of Gratitude,” marking the beginning of the cultural journey “Light a Lamp - Bind a Bond,” spanning from Vu Lan season to the Mid-Autumn Festival.

Practicing Love and Self-Healing with Master Minh Niệm - Vu Lan Season 2022 Talk at Diệu Tướng Am Hanoi
Amid the joyful atmosphere of Vu Lan season, the festival of filial piety, in the Buddhist calendar year 2566, Zen master Minh Niệm, author of "Understanding the Heart" and "Living Playfully", shared precious and heartfelt reflections with fellow Buddhist practitioners at the Diệu Tướng Am Hanoi Buddhist Cultural and Art Space.

On the morning of September 5, 2022, at Chùa Minh Thành in Pleiku City, Gia Lai Province, the ceremony solemnly reenacted the ancient tradition of the Buddha's almsgiving and the Offering Ceremony to the Sangha. On behalf of the Buddhist devotees attending the offering ceremony, TT. Thích Giác Nguyên, abbot of Chùa Minh Thành, Gia Lai, delivered the words of offering.
