GRAND OPENING OF THE JOURNEY TO SERENITY EVENT SERIES - CONTINUING THE HISTORICAL STREAM OF VIETNAMESE ANCIENT COSTUME
To usher in a joyful spring of 2025 and send New Year blessings of peace and prosperity to everyone, on January 12, 2025, Diệu Tướng Am Ho Chi Minh City held the event series “Journeys to Serenity,” opening with an event titled “Continuing the Historical Stream of Vietnamese Ancient Costume.”
This series of events marks a journey of more than 13 years of steadfastly nurturing a profound affinity with the Buddha, and of persevering in preserving and promoting spiritual and cultural values of great practical significance.
“Continuing the Historical Stream of Vietnamese Ancient Costume” is a series of exhibitions and experiential activities centered on Vietnamese ancient attire, taking place from January 12 to January 19, 2024. Diệu Tướng Am created a vibrant, festive space brimming with color, offering multi-sensory experiences that forged a complete connection for hearts devoted to our national cultural heritage and souls captivated by spiritual art.
The event drew a large turnout of guests, including distinguished visitors who have always shown deep interest and a heartfelt wish to support young people passionate about Vietnamese culture.
The event opened with the song “Bồng Lai” performed by artist Adam Lâm, followed by the Mini Fashion Show “Kế Vãng Khai Lai,” which carried guests back through time to admire garments imbued with the historical splendor of the Lý, Trần, Lê, and Nguyễn dynasties. Together, these moments created touchpoints that stirred deep emotion.
The event space was filled with the vivid colors of various experience zones. All guests in attendance were delighted to don Vietnamese ancient costumes themselves and capture their most beautiful moments within the deeply impressive Buddhist Culture and Art space of Diệu Tướng Am.
Everyone was filled with joy as they savored the art of tea ceremony, requested calligraphy from a scholar in traditional robes, admired the art of Vietnamese calligraphy, and received many meaningful gifts from Diệu Tướng Am — especially the An Phong fan, a gentle breeze of blessing ushering in a New Year of the Four Seasons' Peace and Boundless Fortune.
The event brought traditional elements back to life, and the experiential journey grew all the more meaningful for taking place within a space embodying the cultural essence and spiritual artistry of Diệu Tướng Am.
