Most Venerable Thích Bửu Chánh shares teachings on "Meditation in Daily Life" with the assembly of Buddhist devotees at Diệu Tướng Am Hà Nội
Continuing the series of talks in celebration of the Buddha's Birthday, "BUDDHA MIND", Most Venerable THÍCH BỬU CHÁNH shared teachings on "MEDITATION IN DAILY LIFE" with the assembly of devotees in the intimate, merit-filled space of Diệu Tướng Am Hà Nội. Meditation is a way of sustaining mindfulness in everyday life so as to bring about happiness and peace, allowing us to observe our own body and mind. What began as a practice within the monastic tradition has entered daily life, spreading as a way of mindful living. This, too, reflects the ongoing interplay of cause and effect between body and mind, between mind and surroundings, between surroundings and body — shaped by one's diligence in cultivating precepts, concentration, and wisdom, and by one's willingness to practice loving-kindness, compassion, sympathetic joy, and equanimity through the virtues of generosity, moral discipline, and patience. To practice meditation properly each day, one should choose a suitable method and a fitting place at home in order to gain benefits for both health and clarity of mind.
